Benefits Of Fish Oil For Cardiovascular Health

By: Gen Wright Home | Health-and-Fitness

Some of the benefit of fish oil for cardiovascular health comes from the essential fatty acids it contains. These fatty acids are necessary for good health, but since out bodies cannot produce them, we must supplement our diets in order to obtain them and aid in the body functioning more efficiently.

Fish oil can be used to increase essential fatty acids in our diets. This can help lower the chance of heart disease, stroke, cholesterol buildup in the blood and both the levels of unhealthy fats in the blood and high blood pressure.

Asthmatics and sufferers of emphysema have reported improved breathing and less upper respiratory infections after taking fish oil regularly. Studies show that this improvement may be due to stronger immune systems in these patients.

Some arthritis sufferers have been able to notice improved joint flexibility and reduced pain after adding fish oil supplements to their diets, too.

Although skeptics challenged the claims about the benefit of fish oil, many people say that they have had measurable improvements in both acute and chronic health problems.

Those who have tried fish oil and experienced lowered mood swings, higher levels of energy, improved visual acuity, improved memory and lessened stress as a benefit of fish oil being added to their daily vitamin regimen are happy to tell others about their personal experiences.

While each person is unique and no one treatment can be said to help everyone in exactly the same way, there is certainly proof that the benefit of fish oil appears to be great.

Before trying fish oil as a dietary supplement, you should consult with your primary care physician to make sure it won't conflict with any other medications or vitamin supplements you are already taking. Researchers continue looking for ways that fish oil promotes good health and well being.

Fish Oil for Cardiovascular Health Vitamin Supplement

Fish oil vitamin supplements are gaining popularity as more and more people find improved health by adding fish oil to their daily vitamin regimen.

There are a growing number of people who are seeing remarkable improvement in health problems that have plagued them for years and they are making the connection that fish oil is responsible.

Doctors are keeping track of the patients they have who are candidates for heart disease, but are taking fish oil vitamin supplements and previously worrisome test results are coming up favorably.

Could this just be a coincidence or is fish oil really a 'miracle cure'?

Researchers found way back in the 1970s that Eskimos whose diet is heavily fish oriented had lowered incidence of heart disease and other health problems.

Studies pointed to the high quantity of fish oil present in their diets and this was thought to be a direct cause of their superior heart health.

While doctors hesitate to state that fish oil vitamin supplements are solely responsible, there have been studies that show a point by point correlation to these health benefits coming as a result of taking fish oil on a regular basis.

Recent fish oil vitamin supplement users have been documented as showing remarkable improvement in arthritis pain, joint movement, lowered cholesterol, lowered blood pressure, more easily managed mood swings and depression, improved vision, lowered risk for heart disease and improved memory.

As with any newly embraced 'miracle', users should do extensive research on the pros and cons of taking fish oil vitamin supplements before jumping in with both feet.

Your primary care physician should be able to answer any question regarding how fish oil can be added to your current lineup of vitamin supplements in a way that will be most effective for maximizing your personal health with minimum risk.
