By: Reeva Home | Health-and-Fitness

You may have aplastic anemia when your bone marrow starts producing a reduced number of all types of blood cells (red blood cells, white blood cells, and platelets). Abnormal production of blood cells is often caused by damage on the bone marrow, which could be acquired or inherited. Some of the causes are idiopathic, which means they happen without known reason; while others are results from previous disorder like cancer (known as secondary aplastic anemia).

Idiopathic auto immune hemolytic anemia is an acquired disease which is related to the immune system and it is caused when the antibodies present in the person's body start fighting the red blood cells. That is the body's own cells are fighting each other and the causes and the reasons for this kind of immune disease is unknown. It could be a fault in the genes that is causing the blood cells to fight. Basically there are two kinds of cells in the blood, one is the white blood cell and the other is the red blood cell.

Aplastic anemia is a rare condition, although it still affect around 500 to 1,000 individuals every year in the United States alone. The effectivity of the treatments will depend on the time when the diagnosis was made, and seriousness of the patient's conditionThis disease is a distinctive affliction that may have drastic effects in the body's blood cells and bone marrow. When an individual is diagnosed and is required to undergo treatment, this means that the body has ceased in the production of adequate amounts of platelets, white blood cells and red blood cells - which are all needed for the body to continue its proper overall functioning. In these instances, the cells produced by the bone marrow are still in normal condition, however their amounts are not adequate for healthy bodily processes.
