So, let's address basic skin care, and get some clear smooth skin tips and see if there really is a cure for acne. First - what is the nature of this skin that covers our bodies? Well, the most basic fact - besides covering all those despicable looking parts of our body - is that it, by itself, is in fact an organ. It is the largest organ, and it serves the purpose of nourishment and elimination. It is, in fact, the essence of renewing nature. It gets rids of the old, dying cells every day for a new start. Now, this is reassuring - it gets rid of the old used up skin cells and gets us brand new ones. Wow - what could be better news than that? Well, there are a few little glitches with this process. * As we get older, the 'shedding' process doesn't work quite as efficiently as it should. * Then, if our skin encounters some problems, such as (but not limited to) acne, it falls down on the job. But, what do we care? Well, consider that skin is so important as a 'first impression' that people who do not have perfect physical characteristics can still be considered beautiful (or handsome) because of flawless kin. On the other hand - those that have 'perfect characteristics' but have flawed skin tend to go unnoticed. How is that to illustrate the impact of perfect skin? So, what can we do? There are some deceptively simple things we can do - things that we should do anyway. Although our medical science says that they really can't pinpoint with 100% assurance what actually does cause acne, they can say this: What is good for the body and overall health in general is good for the skin. Now, isn't that simple? So, * Walking * Exercise * Avoidance of prolonged exposure to the sun * Avoidance of 'junk food' * Drinking more water * Getting enough rest Are all important tools in fighting skin problems, including acne. We could go into such items, such as the major factor in the skin's elasticity is Collagen. We could go into excessive oil from the oil glands, or the part that the sebaceous glands play, but unless you are going into dermatology, why delve into that? Questions such as: * Does chocolate cause acne? * Does tanning cause acne? * What are the acne causes? * How do you get rid of a pimple? * Is there a cure for acne? * Are there ways to clear acne? Can be best answered by: Is this good for my general health in general? If the answer is "No", then it could aggravate your skin condition. All you have to do is consider the above, and enjoy life. Oh, a few more items to cover: 1. The first is a little esoteric - and that is Visualization. Instead of picturing yourself frantically yelling, "Get me the acne cream, now", or looking in the mirror and seeing a zit or pimple, how about just visualizing yourself as having beautiful skin? Sound a little kooky? Well, would it surprise you to know that world class athletes prepare themselves by 'visualization'? When you go to sleep visualize yourself as having extremely beautiful, soft, clear skin, you might be surprised! 2. Since our bodies don't always work quite as well as they should, take advantage of the great, almost unbelievable, strides science has made in helping our bodies along, such as helping produce Collagen, or helping our skins shed those old dry cells, etc. Or bodies are marvels, but if they all worked exactly as designed, there wouldn't be any disease, or blemished skins. So, give them the help they sometimes need; not with goofy faddish things, but with proven, guaranteed products. They could save you from dealing with acne scarring, as I have dealt with for all my life. Put these marvels of science to work for you.
