How To Make A Solar Panel At Home

By: Peats Home | Home-and-Family | Home-Improvement

Solar panels are a great way for you to add value to your home while at the same time saving a lot of money on your power bill.

We are all looking for ways to cut our monthly bills and save moneyâ€. I am going to tell you how you can save that money, with the added benefit of lowering your carbon footprint by reducing your need for fuel. Every little helps.

You might say solar panels, great idea, but aren’t they expensive, that’s right! Solar panels are expensive to buy direct from the store and you will need a group of them to make any difference to your power bill. The answer is to make your own and make a lot of them, join them together and use the power for your home.

You are not home during the day, then sell the power to the utility company or store it in batteries for the evening, either way you save money. Think reduced or no more power bills.

You can get the materials to make your own solar panel at your local hardware store and online, they are readily available and won’t cost the earth either. You can make one panel at the start. Your first panel will give you about 120 watts of power which will power a light bulb but it will do a lot more than thatâ€. it will give you the confidence to build a home solar energy system.

The big questions are, how do I make a solar panel, where do I get the best information and will I be able to do it. The answer to all these questions is YES†if you can watch some videos, follow directions and use a few basic tools.

Solar panels are a tried and trusted technology, they just workâ€. they don’t need maintenance, give little or no trouble and best of all they last for years. The big drawback has always been the cost and now that you can make your own this is certainly not a problem any longer.
