My Review of "The Curious Case of Benjamin Button" First off let me start out by telling you a little about myself. I live in Las Vegas, NV, I am a web developer. I love making websites and watching movies. A lot of other things too but that mainly. I've watched a lot of movies in my time and would say I know a good movie when I see one. Now lets begin. David Fincher and also screenwriter Eric Roth (Forest Gump) have delivered an amazing masterpiece that teaches you many things about life, death, and many other things. Staring Brad Pitt and Cate Blanchett comes a story of Benjamin Button a man born with a disease that causes him to age backwards. There are many problems that occur trough out his life as you can imagine. His birth father leaving him at the door step of a house is where his life begins. We know where hes headed just like all of to us. Benjamin feels he has to leave alone. The climax of the movie is very important. It brought the awards making the film extraordinary. The cast also did an amazing job connecting with the audience and sending them many thoughts and lessons of life. Main Cast Brad Pitt as Benjamin Button Cate Blanchett as Daisy Julia Ormond as Caroline Faune A. Chambers as Dorothy Baker Jason Flemyng as Thomas Button Joeanna Sayler as Caroline Button Taraji P. Henson as Queenie Production Credits Director - David Fincher Screenplay - Eric Roth Story By - Robin Swicord Producer - Kathleen Kennedy Producer - Frank Marshall Source Material - F. Scott Fitzgerald Production Designer - Donald Graham Burt Casting Director - Laray Mayfield Director Of Photography - Claudio Miranda Set Decorator - Victor Zolfo The movie shifts in many ways, what the creators have done is no simple thing from writing to makeup. Brad Pitt is really old at the beginning of the movie but young on the inside. As time passes he gets younger and younger. The makeup is amazing, near the end of the movie he simply looked like a teenager. A great part of the movie is visual effect. (Cate Blanchett is also made to seem younger digitally, but aged only using makeup.) The movies cost being well over 160 million. Fincher really did an amazing job with this. The movie is not entirely satisfying but it gives you and shows you everything as it as. I could not have imagined any one else creating this picture and it will be watched for a long time. As the diary is being read, big part of the movie that shows you Brad Pitt's or Benjamin Buttons thoughts. You see him from the inside out and its really amazing. Can Paramount and Warner Bros. make their money back? The future will tell.
