10 Things I Expect My Pub Accountant To Do

Hiring an Accountant for your Pub is a big step, you are putting your business affairs into the hands of someone else and you want to be sure that you are making the right choice. So, what should your expectations be concerning a Pub Accountant? Well, actually there is a rather basic list that may help you to make a good choice.

1. Be knowledgeable and be willing to share experiences. Look for a Pub Accountant who has had a successful business of their own. Your Accountant should have first hand knowledge of what pitfalls you could face and be able to advise you on how to avoid them. Your success should be top priority.
2. Speak in simple terms. It is important your Pub Accountant is able to speak to you in terms you can understand. Certainly you need to become more familiar with business jargon, but it should be intermixed with enough common language for you to understand what your Accountant is telling you. And if you do not understand it is important that you feel comfortable enough to ask questions. Your Account must be willing and able to give you the information you need.
3. Get involved in the business. It is important that your Accountant come to your business. They need to be willing to see how you operate and offer their input on how you can be more profitable.
4. Show you how to improve the business. Your pub accountant should be able familiar with marketing tools that can help you to improve your sales.
5. Recognize areas where you are loosing money. One of the biggest ways businesses loose money is through waste. Your pub accountant should be able to determine how you can streamline your business.
6. Be dependable and efficient. Your pub accountant must be aware of your tax situation and what the needs of your business are. It is imperative that any required paperwork be filed completely and on time. And you should have access to the paperwork. Your accountant should not be offended if you ask to see your information, he should be prepared to provide you with anything you want to see at any time.
7. Offer full availability. You should be able to contact your pub accountant any time you need him. If you have an important question, you should be able to call your accountant and if you want to drop by the office, your accountant should be easily accessible.
8. Give you the time you need. You should never feel â€rushed†by your pub accountant, he should be willing and able to give you the time you need.
9. Exhibit Friendliness and a Positive Attitude. You should feel that your pub accountant enjoys working for you; he should exhibit an attitude of interest and ability to help you strive for success.
10. Give you peace of mind. Your a pub ccountant should make you feel that he is â€on top of the situationâ€; that he is willing and able to get the job done. It is important to feel that your account will give you the information you need, good or bad, and have a plan of action for any situation.
