2.5 Hard Drive Is Mostly Used In All Net Book

HDD is a hard disk drive which is anon-volatile storagedevice that stores digitally encoded data on rapidly rotatingplatterswithmagnetic surfaces and is a part of the computer. Drive refers to the motorized mechanical aspect that is distinct from its medium, such as a tape drive and its tape, or a floppy disk drive and its floppy disk etc. Earlier HDDs had removable media; however, an HDD is typically a sealed unit with fixed media today.

The world's thinnest 2.5 Hard Drive for ultra-portable and entry-level laptops, high-end net books, backup devices and consumer electronics were introduced by the company named Seagate. It is wafer-thin 7mm in height - 25 percent slimmer than traditional 9.5mm 2.5-inch laptop hard drives - the Momentous Thin drive gives original equipment manufacturers (OEM) and system integrators significantly lower cost-per-gigabyte storage than solid state and 1.8-inch drives, enabling a new breed of entry-level thin laptops in the market.

All net book computers available today, 90 percent feature 9.5mm 2.5-inch laptop drives because solid state and 1.8-inch hard drives are largely cost-prohibitive.
