The days of putting a website on the net and have people come to your website with little effort is long gone-you missed that boat unfortunately. Today, the internet marketing world has become very saturated which leads to a more complicated effort in maximizing your website to bring quality traffic. But, you are in luck however. Though it is no longer easy, there are rather simple methods out there that you can implement to effectively compete-hell even beat your competition. 1. Own Your Own Website. This one is a no brainer but I want you to stick with me here and hear me out on this one. Building a content rich, credible website is key to achieving conversions from your visitors. Your website is a representation of you and it is important that your website makes a very good impression on your potential buyers. Plus, the better your content, including adequate number of relevant keywords, video and audio, the kinder the search engines will be on to your website. 2. Incentives. The other day I attended an introductory seminar for money investment tools for consumers. Let me say the presentation was very good-not to mention the product they were selling. But what was really good about was the incentives company offered for purchasing their product right then and there. They offered 6 months free access to the web tools, a free 2-day training seminar on how to invest just to sign up with them on that day. The catch was that I have to provide my credit card information authorizing them to charge me $300.00. But, they stated that they would not charge me for seven days. These seven days represented a grace period to try out their web system. And they stated that if I choose to use the system longer, I had up to 60 days to ask for a refund if I did not like it. Talk about real incentives. Needless to say, I did not expect to purchase anything (nor did I want to) I ended up giving them my information. The power of incentives. Give your visitors a reason to opt-in or buy your product by providing them extra bonuses and free giveaways as incentive. 3. Relevant Link Popularity. This is a sure fire method to increase your natural rankings in search engines such as Google, Yahoo and MSN. This can be achieved by article marketing, participating in relevant forums et cetera. This will give you the opportunity to create back-links to your own website. And do you think that the search engines don't recognize you for that-of course they do! The more you have back links to your website the more popular you become with search engines. This also play a solid role in your PPC or pay-per-click efforts if you so choose to go that route. The more popular you are in the rankings, the less you will have to bid on relevant keywords to drive traffic to your site-and driving traffic is really what this game is all about, right? Implementing these tools will serve you well in the long run as you continue to build your business online. But one thing that I must stress is that you must be flexible with your business. Meaning, you will have to make a few small changes to perhaps big ones to better posture yourself in receiving better search engine rankings. The better the rankings-the better the traffic and even profits.
