3-stone Rings And Other Jewelry

By: Chris Robertson Home | Arts-and-Entertainment | Humanities

Cindy, my best friend, had a birthday coming up soon. She had no idea what she wanted and her husband kept asking her. He even sent me an email wanting to know if she had said anything to me about it. I told him I'd see what I could find out. Last Thursday my friend and I met for lunch. We decided to go shopping, so I suggested we go to a jewelry store so I could have my earrings cleaned. While we were there I mentioned that I'd like to look at some three stone rings and she agreed. I figured this would be a perfect opportunity to see what she might like. Her husband told me what he wanted to spend, so I kept that in mind.

While the jeweler was inspecting and cleaning my earrings he discovered a diamond was loose. He said it wouldn't take him long, so since we had time we said we'd look around. It's been a long time since I've even been in a jewelry store and I was totally amazed at all the neat items they had! I liked the way the store was laid out, too. In the center of the showroom there was a row of cases filled with diamonds. Most were engagement rings and wedding bands, but there were a lot of beautiful right hand rings, as well.

Of course, Cindy and I took a quick look at cases that were filled with beautiful engagement rings of all shapes and sizes. They had three stone rings, solitaires, plain sets, and fancy sets. They even had blue diamonds! I had read about them, but had never seen one. They are quite stunning! I've seen black diamonds before, but the blue ones really caught my attention. Cindy loves blue stones, and so she was extremely interested in them.

While Cindy was trying on rings with blue diamonds I took a few minutes to work on some ideas for birthday and graduation gifts. Around the perimeter of the showroom were more cases. Each area seemed to have a theme. I stepped over to the case that contained pendant slides. My mother absolutely loves them and her birthday is next month, so I made a mental note. The next case was filled with gold nugget jewelry and chains. My aunt loves bracelets, brooches and pins, so I was glad to see some in the next case. I saw a dragonfly pin I'd love to have!
Around the corner was a whole section of cases filled with teen jewelry, child jewelry, and jewelry for young men. In the corner was a case that contained religious jewelry; then was a whole row of cases filled with watches.

I walked back over to see what Cindy had tried on and discovered she has, indeed, fallen in love with a blue diamond ring. I made a mental note so I could tell her husband about it. Just them, the jeweler came over to give me my earrings back. As I walked back past the case of right hand rings I saw one that I hadn't seen earlier. It was a three stone ring with a princess cut yellow diamond flanked by two smaller white princess cut diamonds.
