5 Questions You Need To Ask For The Perfect Web Design

By: Mitchel John Home | Internet-and-Business | Web-Design

Perfection is never ending. Just when you think that your web design is perfect you may suddenly find an irritating flaw in the visuals or the functionalities of the same. Someone has said â€beauty lies in the eyes of beholder†and hence it might be a difficult proposition to weed out any aberrations in your website if you judge it yourself. And you can not take chances before broadcasting if you aim to propel business through it.

Well you can check the web design by asking the following five questions.
1. Does your web design present an aesthetic visual?

Overstuffing your website with excessive flash and lot of visual flickering can turn off the visitors. This is why you must ensure that the website is simple in look with a right blend of texture that is pleasant and soothing to eyes. It is seen that simpler but visually pleasant sites have longer visitor retention.

2. Is your design giving due weightage to the contents?

It is the web content that is responsible to communicate with the visitors. A well written and well presented content which state your objectives in a clear fashion can work wonders for your site. Ensure that the website is free from all the grammatical errors which more often than not act as deterrents.

3. Does your website meet the standards set by W3C?

After the debacle of Dot Com companies, W3C (World Wide Web Consortium) came into existence and since then it has been regulating and providing guidelines to the web. Make sure that your web design is W3C certified. To attain the certification all you need to do is to submit it for the code verification.

4. Is your web design platform and browser independent?

Platform independence implies that you can open the site on several browser compatible systems like desktops, laptops, palmtops, PDAs etc. And browser independence implies that your website can be supported by all browsers like Internet Explorer, Mozilla Firefox, Safari and so on. These are very important to stretch the usability and accessibility of your website.

5. Is your web design replete with functionalities?

You must focus on augmenting the design with all the necessitated functionalities like proper databases, search options, blogs and many more. These depend on your custom requirements.
