6 All Natural Yeast Infection Treatment

By: zechong cai Home | Health-and-Fitness | Diseases-and-Conditions

Yeast infections are generally caused by Candida albicans which is a one celled fungus living naturally in the human body. A yeast infection typically occurs in a warm and moist area, such as the mouth or diaper area of a baby, the nail bed, or the vaginal area in women. Antibiotic and steroid use is the most common cause for excessive yeast growth, but birth control pills, a weakened immune system and even pregnancy can lead to yeast growth as well. A natural yeast infection cure can be a great way to treat an infection, and preventing it through diet and stress management can help to avoid any future outbreaks.

1. PH levels are very important in your battle with yeast infection. The body functions ideally in the 7.35 to 7.45 range. Foods that are good for your alkalinity are foods with calcium, cesium, magnesium, potassium, sodium, almonds, green juices and most green vegetables. Foods that form acid and should be used eaten in moderation or avoided include meats, fish, dairy and grain products.

2. The second cure is living a healthy lifestyle. Minimize drinking alcoholic beverages and tap water. Because stress is a trigger, set aside time for relaxation and sleep.

3. Eating foods that promote immune system health are a great treatment for yeast infection, since they can strengthen the immune system and prevent an infection from ever occurring. Natural foods such as fruits and vegetables are rich in essential vitamins and nutrients, all of which can improve overall health and prevent a yeast infection from occurring. Vitamin A, C, and even B can all work as an alternative to a vaginal yeast infection treatment, and they can be easily found in fresh produce from your local grocery store.

4. Garlic is another natural product which people use to boost their immunity. Low immunity is a major contributor of yeast infections and by taking garlic either by ingesting it raw or by applying to the infected area, people get relief from yeast infections. Garlic has anti fungal properties that kill yeast fungus and treats yeast infection naturally.

5. Remove refined sugar and carbohydrates from your diet. This includes molasses, honey, white flour, white rice, and any type of cereal. These foods can make candida breed.

6. Another great cure is taking in electrolyte-heavy drinks. To make your own, squeeze in half a lemon (full of essential minerals) in a glass of filtered water, then add 1/4 teaspoon of Celtic sea salt (with 84 minerals). Drink it six times during the day, with three of those six times during meals.
