7 Tips For Taking Control Of Your Destiny- Part 4-by Kelly Heldreth

By: Home | Self-Improvement

Making Money Work
Everyone requires a certain savvy when it comes to money and the power that comes with it. Unfortunately this subject is not taught properly in our schools.

This is the dreaded topic no one likes to discuss, but I promise this won't hurt. We won't be administering any shots or pulling teeth.

Before we continue though, let's do a quick recap. In (last week's ezine) we talked about the importance of surrounding yourself with people who have what you want. This is important because you can't spend your time with people who bring you down when you want to go higher. In other words, it is impossible for you to gain financial wealth by hanging around people who are poor.

I'm not suggesting you dump your friends, but I am suggesting you consider the nature of your environment. It has been proven that those you spend the most time with directly influence your income. Consider how those closest to you view money. Are they enjoying financial freedom or do they constantly complain about being broke?

The goal is to expand your awareness of how money works and spend time with people who have and get money on a consistent basis. This is what you are doing when you spend time with people who have what you want. They must be doing something right if they have financial freedom.

Wealthy people understand that money is nothing more than energy and when they have the right mindset concerning money, they consistently get it. We are all taught that we have to "keep our nose to the grindstone" and we have to work our fingers to the bone; but that couldn't be further from the truth.

The trick is to have a positive relationship with money in order to attract it. After all, if money is nothing more than energy - there's nowhere you have to go to get - it's just a matter of attracting it. It's pure energy and it's all around you.

This is the secret that the wealthy understand and the major principle that separates the wealthy from the poor. And this is why it's important to feel good about what you do for a living, because the better you feel about it, the better your relationship to the money aspect of working becomes.

Let me explain.

When you feel good about the work that you do, that "feel good" energy becomes attached to your reward, which is money. When you feel bad or have a negative relationship to the work you do, that "feel bad" energy, is by default, attached to the reward; again money. Recognize the distinction?

Feeling good about your job or career is the best thing you can do for your success and you will find that the most successful people in this world are in love with what they do for a living. It is possible to make money doing what you don't love to do, but there will always be a limit to your financial success. Why? Because you won't feel good about what you're doing? And that means that what you're doing isn't in alignment with what you really want.

For instance, take a look at your current finances and compare that with what you would really like to experience. Like most people, you wish you had more money and that is proof that your relationship with money needs to be improved before you can make more.

The only way to change it is to recognize what energy you bring to your relationship with money. First, take a moment and think about money. What are your initials feelings when you think about it? Do you have feelings of fear and worry or confidence and calm? This is the difference between your financial struggle and success.

Secondly, start moving in the circles that will align you with wealthy people and watch them. Learn from them. You will find out quickly that their energy, actions and words are probably very different from your own. A person "with" money will never be overheard saying "I am unable to afford that".They understand that money and energy are the same thing. Lack does not exist. It simply comes down to how they feel about money. People with money feel differently about it. They feel no anxiety about it; the poor worry about money. In both cases, their relationship (or energy alignment) determines how much or little they have.

The goal is to find a way to feel good about money in whatever way you can. When you feel good about money and have a positive relationship with it, you will absolutely attract it.
