Have you ever thought all about the different ways to market on the internet? If you are running any type of an internet business or have a website that you are trying make money with, you need to get as many different forms of marketing going as possible. That got me thinking about the different ways to advertise and market online that might not be considered normal. Here are a few of the different ways you can promote your product through internet marketing. 1. Advertise your product on someone else's website. Find a partner that has a complimentary website, but is not in competition with you. If you sell a "Golf Tips" eBook, contact websites that sell golf equipment and offer to buy an ad on their site. 2. Buy a text link for your website on a complimentary website. Hyperlink your main keyword phrase and point it back to your home page. 3. Post in forums that relate to your industry. This is a highly underrated technique that can bring you immediate traffic and your post can be archived for years to come. If allowed, have a signature file on each post that hyperlinks a keyword phrase back to your home page or another sub page on your site. 4. Put an exit pop-up on your site and use it to offer something inexpensive or a subscription to your newsletter. 5. Publish your own email newsletter to build long term relationships and trust. You can promote your products in it, or offer free ads in exchange for subscribing to it. 6. Trade ads with other ezine publishers as a way to reach new prospects for free. 7. Place a banner ad, but be sure and optimize it for the search engines by putting keyword phrases in the alt tags. 8. Trade articles with other ezine publishers. A well written article is better than a solo ad when you can include your website address in the bio box at the end of the article. Marketing on the internet is a numbers game just like any other form of advertising. The more eyes you have seeing your products the better your odds of making a sale. The standard forms of internet advertising include pay per click ads, classified ads, solo ads, and others, but to maximize your online marketing efforts sometimes it pays to get creative. When getting your website address or your products in front of the public you are only limited by your mind and what you can think of next.
