By: Wolfgang Jaegel Home |

Air Travel is undoubtedly the fastest as well as most efficient transportation system. Depending upon the nature of the journey, the demand for air travel has been categorized into four segments such as leisurely travelers, people journeying for personal purposes, and travels for education purposes. People traveling for leisurely, personal, and educational purposes mostly pay from their own budget, and in most cases, excellent deals in the form of last-minute deals are available for such travels.

Also, an important segment of air travel is business air travel. A business air travel is a journey made by a person in connection with his employment, and in the most cases, it is paid by the employers or company and not the individual. Every business demands a lot of travel, and in deed business air travel has now become one of the most important segments of air travel. Discussed further in detail in this article is regarding the business air travel.

Among the different types of business travelers are independent, corporate, and incentive travelers. Independent or individual business travelers are usually entrepreneurs who primarily travel for the purpose of carrying out their own businesses. Also, fall under this category are individual business professionals such as accountants, attorneys, contractors, consultants, and doctors.

One of the specialties of this category of business travelers is that they are the sole decision makers on such matters related to traveling such as when, where, and how to travel. In the case of corporate travelers, they mostly travel on behalf of the company or corporation for which they are working. In contrast to individual business travelers, all of the expenses with regard to traveling, accommodation, and food would be borne by the company. Some of the large as well as leading corporations even have a section exclusively to cater to the requirements of traveling employees. Another important category of business travelers is conference market, also referred to as the meetings market.

In short, majority of the people, in their whole business or professional career, take at least one or more journeys for different types of business purposes. In other words, a business travel is unavoidable, and has now become a part of the typical business model. Al though attached with several chaos and tensions, a business air travel can be made an enjoyable getaway, provided you plan in advance.

The first step is to prepare a note and list all items that are required to be accomplished during your business trip. This in turn allows you to effectively utilize the time while traveling. After having prepared an itinerary, the next step is to check this with your superiors, and confirm that they do not mind if you utilize your free time to take a tour to a prominent landmark or a location attraction on your trip.

One of the best ways to make your business air travel enjoyable as well as effective is via making business air travel ticket bookings in advance. There are certain airlines that provide special discounts for business travels. Benefits are even higher if you make bookings in advance, at least before a month or two weeks. Making business air travel tickets online is also effective. This in turn can undoubtedly save you a lot of money. In some instances, online bookings even enable you to save up to 70% on business flights, hotels, and car rentals.

In addition, many of the leading airlines in the industry provide a host of facilities and services for business passengers. Some airlines allow passengers to carry about 30 kg of free baggage. Facilities also include special business check-in area. Apart from these, in-flight services and facilities made available to business passengers also cover comfortable sleeper seats attached with 60 inch seat pitch, audio entertainment system with 16 channels, complimentary alcohol and soft drinks, and dining options with a choice of both Asian and Western meals.
