A New Nose

By: Dr. Naderi Home | Health-and-Fitness | Beauty

Rhinoplasty, popularly known as â€nose-jobâ€, is a surgical procedure given to restructure the appearance of one’s nose. Undertaken by either a rhinoplasty surgeon or a nose surgery specialist, the procedure is carried out in cases of both severe medical need in recovery from injuries or defects, as well as a client’s desired aesthetics.
Rhinoplasty, along with a host of related cosmetic services, has grown to fame through the endorsement and indulgences of Hollywood celebrities. Although the primary objective is to reconstruct damaged noses and heal from breathing disorders, the â€beauty aspect†of the surgery has gained large prominence of late. Thus, the definition of the need for a nose surgery has shifted slightly; instead of being based on curing a defect, a nose job is performed to fulfill the aesthetic concerns of clients. The medical fraternity’s habit of referring to cosmetic surgery patients as â€clients’ suggests a change in the way rhinoplasty surgery is now perceived.

In the United States, it is not at all difficult to find a good rhinoplasty surgeon. Virginia itself, for example, hosts a large number of specialists capable of performing most jobs.
There are two methods to the procedure of rhinoplasty: open or closed. Closed rhinoplasty required incisions made inside the nostrils, to separate the soft tissues and to shape the cartilage. In open rhinoplasty, one more incision is made to the skin separating the two nostrils.
A customer dissatisfaction count of 20% indicates revision rhinoplasty is a common procedure for most specialists. However, nose surgery remains a frequent choice for several people from across varied job profiles. It is considered necessary sometimes to get ahead in a job, to make an impressive first impression, to present a more pleasing front as a sales operative or in other similar appearance dependent professions.
