These days we are hard pressed for time and money. With different schedules and commitments, office and school obligations plus financial restraints, it is next to impossible to plan a proper holiday. The only hope for a good holiday is switching on the telly and selecting a travel channel to watch. Okay, just kidding. Just because you cannot afford a holiday abroad, this does not mean that you cannot travel within UK itself. UK has much to offer if you want to get away from the hustle and bustle of city life. There are plenty of cottages and hotels near the coast and country side that are good tourist spots and will give you the feel of a real holiday. Many of these hotels are situated close to towns with good attractions and activities, beaches and rolling hills, shopping and leisure activities. Some hotels are luxury - and have brilliant services such as golfing and spa facilities. Naturally these accommodation choices are costly; and if you are looking for a cheaper holiday or something that does not involve dealing with hotel staff and other guests, then you should opt for a self catering holiday. Self catering holidays are fun and affordable. You have the freedom to select what sort of a place you would like to stay in. Whether it is just a holiday for you and your partner, or an entire group of people, you can select whichever property you would like to stay in, and the various facilities available in them. Many self catering properties provide guests with a fully equipped kitchen, living room and a dining area. Guests can relax in a comfortable homey atmosphere, and enjoy a quiet night indoors. Self catering holidays are a much cheaper alternative to hotels. You can cook your own favourite meals, and have them at your own time - so you do not need to get up for an early breakfast or settle for a menu that you may not enjoy. The best reason to opt for self catering is having the freedom to do what you want to do on your holiday and having any forced interactions with hotel staff or other guests. You can truly have time to yourselves and have a wonderful blissful holiday.
