A Successful Snoring Cure

By: Home | Health-and-Fitness

Anyone who snores or sleeps with a snorer knows just how stressful the snoring condition can be. Persistent snoring night after night disturbs the sleep of snorer and sufferers around him, placing strains on relationships. Those around the snorer will be hoping that a successful snoring cure will be found quickly.

There are quite a few reasons for snoring, of course. Some intermittent snorers, for example, may have a cold or blocked nasal passages. Any obstruction to breathing may cause the tongue and throat to contact the palate, causing vibrations and snoring.

An intermittent snorer may use over-the-counter drugs or other concoctions that are designed to soothe airway irritations, all hopefully assisting in keeping airways open for easy air passage. Natural remedies may also be used in case the sufferer is afraid of the side effects sometimes caused by drugs or over-the-counter medicine.

A benefit of natural or home remedies is that they treat the person holistically. Aromatherapy, for example, is sometimes used for the treatment of snoring. As some of the essential oils can be toxic to the body, however, it is best to use this snoring cure only after discussion with a qualified aromatherapist.

In aromatherapy blends of oils may be massaged into the throat or neck, or used as a gargle to soothe irritated airways. A steam bath of very strong essential oils can also be used to help clear the airways of mucous.

There are number of other snoring cures:

-Watch your weight. Fat people often have fat layers in their neck or throat that can cause airway restrictions.

-Excessive alcohol consumption relaxes the throat muscles, causing them to block air flow. Try to refrain from drinking a few hours before retiring to allow the alcohol to pass from your system.

-As many people snore while sleeping on their back, make a point of sleeping on your side.

-If you have an allergy, ensure you don't use an anti-histamine as this tends to relax the muscles and may restrict air flow. Instead use a nasal decongestant.

Loud snoring is often associated with sleep apnea, a common disorder that can be dangerous. In sleep apnea, your breathing can become very shallow or even stop. During sleep, insufficient air flows into your lungs and the amount of oxygen in the blood may lower. When normal breathing re-starts, a loud snort or choking sound may occur.

Most people don't know they have sleep apnea. A family member or bed partner may notice the problem first.

Untreated sleep apnea can increase the likelihood of high blood pressure, strokes or heart attack. With the possibility of contracting these ailments, then, prompt action is needed to address a sleep apnea problem.

A successful snoring cure is available, thank goodness, that will give you satisfaction without having to resort to medication, devices or surgery. This snoring cure has been okayed by some 10,000 satisfied customers worldwide. You will find it treats the cause of your problem - doesn't waste time masking the symptoms. You can look forward to a permanent solution.
