In fact, these sitcoms are so popular that there are usually several seasons for each sitcom. The TV show Greek, is one such example. So, what is the show all about? Greek is a teen American sitcom, featuring students who are studying in Cyprus-Rhodes University. What is interesting about the show is that the University follows the Greek system. This system is mainly present in colleges and universities in North America. The system is organized in fraternities and sororities. Fraternities are for guys, and sororities are for girls. The show follows the students around, showcasing their eventful university lives. The lead character is Casey Cartwright and her brother, Rusty Cartwright. All the characters belong to fictional fraternities - Kappa Tau Gamma, Omega Chi Delta and Zeta Beta Zeta. The main characters are Rusty Cartwright, Casey Cartwright, Cappie, Calvin Owens, Evan Chambers, Ashleigh Howard, Dale Kettlewell, Rebecca Logan, and Frannie Morgan. The TV show was started in early 2007. It was halted in September 2007 due to a writer's strike. Since then, it has resumed production and Season 2 has been produced in 2008. Season 1 is a lot of fun to watch. You will find it a really enjoyable experience when you start learning more about the characters. Each character has his or her own unique personality. Of course, you will find all sorts of different personalities featured in the show. Rusty is the geek one, and he is forever trying to shed his geeky image. Casey is the popular one in the show, and she tries to win the presidential election. She is dating Evan, also an immensely popular guy in the school. Evan is the big brother of Rusty. As the story gradually unfolds, many secrets are revealed. Calvin actually turns out to be homosexual! Season 1 ended with a total of 22 episodes. Season 2 started in August 2008. So far, there are 10 episodes produced. By now, the audiences are already familiar with the characters. So less time can be spent on the personalities on the characters, and on important events in the characters' lives. All in all, you get to see lots of interesting events as the plot twists and turns. There is dating, rivalry, fights, popularity contests, and secrets - all the stuff that makes a great TV show. For the characters, school can be rather challenging and at the same time confusing. This is very true because in general, teenagers tend to struggle a little bit with their identities. This TV show will surely bring back a lot of happy memories for both teenagers and adults.
