Acne Wash: Basic Things To Know About It

By: Cory Thiarello Home | Health-and-Fitness | Acne

Are you depressed with nasty pimples, ugly acne scars, and stubborn blackheads? All acne problems can be treated well only by using an effective acne wash. Acne washes generally contain ingredients that are effective solutions for acne treatment as well as those that can clean your skin to prevent future breakouts. They are the specialized cleansers that can remove dead cells, dirt, bacteria and excess sebum that is deposited to your skin which can block your pores and ultimately result in acne. As gentle acne washes can efficiently treat your acne, the need for highly costly and complicated acne treatment surgeries and medications has become unnecessary nowadays.

The type of acne washes you select also fix on the result of using it on your skin. Some acne washes which are usually chemical based and which dry out the skin excessively may sometimes lead to more harm rather than any improvement. For an absolute acne treatment maintaining a perfect skin care regimen is highly necessary. The first step of this begins with cleansing. Only if your skin is distant from all the impurities using an effective acne wash, it will be possible for any of the medications that are applied topically over the skin penetrates into it.

Too much cleansing can wipe out all the nutrients and sebum from your skin making it dull and dry, so it is recommended that you should wash your face using acne wash only twice a day, i.e once in morning and once in night. Most of the acne wash existing in the market are made from chemicals like benzoyl peroxide, salicylic acid etc which are effective in cleaning your skin but their excessive use can result in irritation for some. Salicylic acid is one of the active ingredients most of the acne washes available nowadays. Salicylic acid is a plant based chemical which is efficient in exfoliating the skin, it will put off the build up of dead cells and bacteria over the skin. Concentration of these chemical in the majority of the acne washes ranges from 0.5% to 2%. Even though higher concentration of it is more effective, percentage of it above 2% may severely dry out your skin.

The best way to choose acne wash is going for natural ingredients based acne washes which are mild and nonirritant. When the concentration of chemicals like salicylic acid rise beyond the normal level in acne washes, most of its damaging effects are felt for people with dry skin. This can make their skin excessively dry and flaking and thus exacerbate the acne. Acne wash made from sea buckthorn oil as key ingredient is a right choice to have for acne treatment, as it can clean your skin effectively without wiping out the precious moisture and essential nutrients. Facedoctor is one such brand which produce sea buckthorn oil based acne treatment products which can effectively treat your acne.
