Acupuncture- Sure Fire For Suppressing Your Allergies

By: Gen Wright Home | Health-and-Fitness

There are a lot of people out there who are suffering from different types of allergies. There are even those who are allergic to almost everything that you can point a finger at. With so many allergies, it is virtually impossible to come up with a cure that can be summarized and called a cure for allergies.

Today however, especially after all the extensive research that has been done, a lot of allergists seem to have found what they can generalize as a treatment for allergies. They are referring their allergic patients to go out and get some of the ancient Chinese practice of acupuncture.

One thing that makes a lot of these allergic patients frown however is the fact that they may be squeamish about all those needles being stuck into their skin. If they have a thing for needles as well as allergy then they are in a much thicker plot than they thought.

If you look at a person like Kathy Jorge, she claims to have been battling allergies her whole lifetime. That is a lot of suffering to go through right there. She has tried almost all the medicines that you can name and yet none of them seem to have brought any sort of relief to her condition. This is not to mention the thousands of dollars a lifetime of searching for treatments must have cost. "If you can name it then I am more than pretty sure that I am allergic to it," Kathy said when we caught up with her.

After all the trials and errors that she had gone through, Kathy Jorge finally decided to give alternative medicine a chance. She decided to try out the precise Chinese practice of acupuncture to deal with her severe allergies.

Acupuncturist Julie Silver was not scared to admit to us that she does not know how the ancient technique really works to alleviate allergies. As a matter of fact, she admitted that she does not think anybody really knows how the needles end up tackling the issues that come with the allergies. All that she does know however is that they work and she firmly believes in them as an effective way of dealing with the symptoms of allergies.

The thin needles are placed at specific points that no one really knows how the Chinese discovered thousands of years ago which are said to be trigger points. A one Dr. Mohamad Tawila who is also an allergist, says that all the research he has looked into is inconclusive. He however does not have a firm answer as to whether or not the Chinese technique will work against allergies.

Acupuncture and traditional Chinese medicine practitioners have been helping allergy sufferers, so go look for a practitioner now.
