Over the years there have been many myths developed about proper adrenal fatigue treatment. There are some healthcare providers who do not believe adrenal fatigue even exists. Commonly referred to as burnout, it is looked at by some including the medical field as just an excuse.

Unfortunately these people in need are looked at as just another patient trying to get over on the system. As long as the some in the medical profession doubts the existence of burnout it will only lead to many more myths developed about adrenal fatigue treatment. The most common treatment seems to be the ones people come up with themselves.

Home remedies and old wives tales are not going to be the answer to something that could be as serious as adrenal gland failure or Addison's Disease. Here are a few common myths about adrenal fatigue treatment:
Any athlete has felt that stage where they just do not want to play their sport for one reason or another and often coaches and friends will just say, "Suck it up." This kind of mindset is a sign of adrenal fatigue, especially in a passionate athlete who loves their sport. While continuing to train and workout can give a momentary mental boost. Continuing to push the limits will only lead to further damage to the adrenal glands.

That is why there is an off season, and people who are regular "nine to fivers" should really take heed and take a moment to cycle out their exercise programs. Allowing the body to conserve energy and assists the adrenals to rebuild and become healthy again. Proper moderation of exercise should be a part of adrenal fatigue treatment supporting healthy circulation.
Another misconception about adrenal fatigue is that proper treatment can be as simple as taking a vacation, following a proper diet, or just adding a nutritional supplement leading to a full recovery. The truth of the matter is that most people never recover from burnout, while being possible through proper guidance and following a balanced adrenal fatigue treatment program to the letter. Recovering overnight, in a few weeks or months is not likely. Adrenal fatigue takes several year years to recover from, and if someone recovers faster than it is safe to say they did not suffer from adrenal fatigue.

As mentioned it is not possible to cure adrenal fatigue rapidly, yet commonly people believe that detoxifying their body is the answer. Toxins can accumulate in the body and the body can get to a point where it can no longer remove them properly which contributes to adrenal failure, cleansing is not proper treatment for adrenal fatigue. Eliminating toxins can be helpful, but it must also be taken into account that if a body is weak just cleansing a person's body is not going to be enough. More often than not it will only make matters worse.
