In 1996, the Cosmetic Laser Surgery Centre of India was established by an eminent laser and cosmetic surgeon in India †Dr. P.K.Talwar. Since then, this centre has been working towards helping the patients in giving them a whole new life and the way they see themselves through these cosmetic surgeries. Dr. P.K. Talwar is India’s one of the most renowned and leading Plastic Surgeon in India. He has many laurels to his credit in the field of cosmetic surgery and academic and research. Dr. Talwar has graduated with an MBBS degree from Marathwade University in 1979 and has completed his M.S (General Surgery) from the same. Later, he did his M.Ch from Bombay University and did his fellowship in Hand Surgery from Tata Cancer Hospital, and the Aesthetic Plastic Surgery from the Institute of Aesthetic and Plastic Surgery in Atlanta. He has been trained under Dr.John R.Lewis who was the first president of the International Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgery. He also has been associated with hospitals like Indraprastha Apollo Hospital, Sir Ganga Ram Hospital and Jabalpur Medical College in the past. Dr. Talwar is seen as the first surgeon in North India who has started a Cosmetic Surgery as an exclusive speciality. He also has won many awards and contributed a lot in this field of surgery. He is regarded as one of the pioneers in India for Thread Face Lift (where there is no scarring when in the absence of incision), Short Scar Face Lift (Minimal Access Cranial Suspension), Breast Enlargement ( Pery Areolar or Trans-axillary approach), and Cosmetic Laser Surgery in India (Laser in Laser Hair removal, pigmentation, haemangiomas, leg veins, acne scars and facial rejuvenation.) Dr. Talwar has also contributed significantly in the academic and research work by presenting various papers on different Laser Treatments.
