An air conditioner has three main parts: condenser, evaporator and the compressor. The air conditioning compressor and the condenser are both found on the external part of the air conditioner, while the evaporator is found on the inside. Most people are really not aware of the system used by all the air conditioners that includes the heating and cooling of a liquid that is volatile which is known as Freon. What really happens with the Freon is that when it enters the AC compressor, it is compressed into gas. The process of compressing produces heat while at the same time making the liquid cooler. Among all these parts mentioned, it is safe to say that the air conditioning compressor is the most expensive and important. Because of this, many companies give special warranties for the AC compressor of all the different air conditioner. Just remember that if you have a good compressor for your air conditioner in your home, you are already assured of several years of efficient performance from it. However, if after only a couple of years you find out that your AC compressor is already not performing properly, you do not have to worry too much because you can just install a new one. When you are faced with this option, the best thing for you to do is to get a compressor from the same manufacturer of your air conditioner. This way, you will be assured that the part you will be purchasing is really compatible with the air conditioner. But in the event that you were not able to buy a compressor from the same manufacturer, just make sure that the one you will buy can really give you the best performance. In addition, the evaporators and condensers are also possible to be replaced; replacing them follows the same concept with replacing the compressor.
