Astronomers say a new alien solar system found has planets just like ours. Located about 127 light-years away in the constellation of Hydra, the star known as HD 10180 seems remarkably similar to our own solar system. Observations were made by the European Southern Observatory located in Chile using a system called HARPS, which holds the record now for Earth-bound planet hunting. The star system has only one star similar to our own Sun and thus far, five planets have been discovered orbiting it. This is the third alien solar system found with more than three planets. Most planets discovered are quite large, similar to Jupiter. Due to the great distances, Earth-bound telescopes have only detected such gas-giants thus far. What makes this alien solar system manufacturer found so unique is that it has the most planets detected in a single solar system by astronomers. HD 10180 is located in the constellation of Hydra, the water snake. Being 127 light-years away, finding smaller worlds like our own is still impossible. Three of the five planets appear to have orbits fairly close to the star. The two much more distant.
