All You Want To Know About Hypnosis

By: Clint Jhonson Home | Health-and-Fitness

If you are interested in knowing about hypnosis and how it works then you have to first realize its nature of seriousness. Hypnosis is something that we are generally aware of due to its coverage in media, films, and even advertisements or in comic strips. However, very few people know about the overpowering scientific evidence for this condition that can be created if you can successfully hypnotize someone in order to give up certain habits, reducing pain, achieving various goals, and even to speedup the process of healing.

An interesting fact about hypnosis is that if you really wish to hypnotize someone it is rather easy contrary to popular belief. Research reveals that people are most likely to remain in a hypnotic condition or stances unknowingly at various occasions everyday. For instance, if you are engrossed in reading a book or watching a film, daydreaming, or if your thoughts are simply wandering, then you may be in a condition that is very similar to hypnosis. It is a very natural condition that is similar to relaxing, falling asleep, or even drifting away through various interconnected chain of thought.

If you want to hypnotize someone then you must bear in mind few important factors. Firstly, the only barrier that can keep any person from getting hypnotized is fear. If the person is afraid for some reason then you will find it relatively difficult to hypnotize him or her. Secondly, there are chances that some people might tell you that they did not feel hypnotized at all. The reason for this feeling is that the process is taking place naturally and they do not even realize that it has happened with them in reality. The usual expectation of the hypnotized person is to experience some extraordinary feeling. Finally, you should avoid instructing the person to do anything that may turn out to be harmful. People do not gain any super-human powers on getting hypnotized.

There are certain basic steps that you can follow and hypnotize your subject or patient. Your subject should ideally be seated comfortably in a dimmed room and not be lying down or else he or she may fall asleep. You can use certain techniques of relaxation to slow down your subject’s pattern of brainwave such as delta, theta, or even alpha waves. You can then ask questions to your subject’s subconscious mind and find out the hidden causes of a particular problem or dilemma. Next you can offer certain specific suggestions that are formulated for attaining the goal of such a therapy. After this, you can safely bring your subject back to alert and active patterns of brainwave. You should discuss highlights of the entire session with your subject and will now be able to solve his or her personal problems.

If you are serious about hypnotizing someone then you can also refer to the informative Internet resources like articles, research papers, and personal blogs. You may find some good websites that propagate conversational hypnosis as a method to hypnotize someone. Hypnotizing someone should be treated as a serious form of therapy and a lot of research should be done before you apply it.
