Clams are among the most favourite seafood items in the world. There are many seafood lovers in the world, who apart from the delicacies like the lobsters, also like to taste the clams for a change in the taste buds. The main reason why clams are popular is due to the coastal region and if you have ever grown up in the coastal region and have tasted the seafood, then you have tasted paradise on earth for sure! Kinds of clams , whether hard shells or the soft shells can be steamed, but the soft shells are of course the better ones to eat. Clams can also be in baked form as a seafood item. Sometimes the clams can be steamed opened at first and then baked with the regular flavourings and spices like butter etc. Or the other way of preparing the clams can be to chop them, mix them with some bread crumbs and other seasonings and flavours and then put it back into the shell half before the baking process starts. This is a dish known as the clams’ casino and it is considered to be a popular appetizer. All people around the world love clams as a popular seafood item and they prepare it in various ways too. whether it is the gigantic clams that are cooked in a hot pot in China, or the razors clams prepared with the black bean sauce in Hong Kong, or the steamed Manilla clams in the Philippines, or the clams served with the red and white sauce in Italy, all the tastes are amazingly different.
