The Netcracker system corresponds the means of automatic projecting, modeling and analysis computer networks for the purpose of minimization of the costs for networks designing and preparing the technical documentation. It allows fulfilling the experiments, and its results can be used as a basis for the choice of the network type, communication medium, network equipment components and program support. The program facilities of Netcracker allow to gain the necessary information about the operating network without stopping it. That software can create the project of this network and execute the important experiments to define the limit characteristics, to determine the extending ability, to change the topology and modification of the network equipment for its improvement and developing. Using Netcracker we can project the computer networks with different sizes and purposes: from local networks numbering several dozens of computers, up to international global networks, which operate using satellite communication. The full package of Netcracker software consists of the huge database where the most world-known developers' products are mentioned: working stations, servers, communication mediums, network adapters, bridges, communicators, routers used for various network types and network technologies. If the network developer is not satisfied by the offered variants of the equipment, using Netcracker he is able to create new devices based on the already exist analogue appliances or which will have their own unique absolutely new characteristics. Netcrackers allows designing the multilevel projects and the level of specification should be determined by the developer. Moreover, there is an easy-to-use interface and special tools to preview all the levels of the future project. To implement the function of the imitating modeling Netcracker has the tools to determine the traffic characteristics of different protocols, the means of the visual control of the determined parameters, the means of saving some statistic information and creating the reporting documentation about fulfilled experiments. In addition we want to say, that even except all the advantages mentioned above, the Netcracker is really a hi-quality software developed by the real professional staff.
