By: Sophie Wilson Home | Finance | Credit

Credit discrepancies can be detrimental to your credit report and to check on this it’s important for you to access annual credit report. To remove any blemishes you will have to access it first! By applying and getting annual credit report you can easily acquaint yourself with your credit scores. It is a good option with the help of which you can know your credit worthiness.

By scanning through your annual credit record you can easily know your credit defaults or mistakes that tarnished your credit reports. By tracking the defaults you can make an effort to improve them so that your records turn positive. The interesting thing is that this annual credit report is available for free.

These credit reports are offered by three agencies which are Transunion, Experian and Equifax. These agencies prepare your credit report which reflects your credit borrowing and repaying pattern. It also contains a detailed account of mistakes if any such as defaults, skipped payments, CCJs, IVA, late payments and insolvency for a particular year. On the basis of these records the credit bureaus assign scores, these scores show your credit worthiness.

Your annual credit report is of prime importance to lenders who analyze it before approving your loan application. If your credit scores are above average then your application is approved easily. But in case your credit scores are below average then you are generally disapproved. In case of loan rejection, the lender is obligated to furnish you with the name of agency from which it accessed your scores along with the reason for denial.

It might not be possible for you to visit credit bureaus to get an annual credit report. The other resort that is more feasible is online. You can even apply for a credit report online and access it conveniently. You can grab your credit report in a hassle free manner.
