Thakeham Furniture was established by Tim and Belinda Chavasse in 1984 specializing in restoration of fine furniture for the antique trade and private clients.We are members of PAADA (Petworth Art & Antique Dealers Association) and also LAPADA (London & Provincial Antique Dealers Association). The business has expanded over the years with a natural progression from purely restoring to dealing as well. During this time we have gained a huge insight into antique furniture styles, construction,periods, timbers and finishes. Buying and selling of fine antique furniture has now become the main activity of our business and we have gradually built up a large stock of furniture. Over the years our location has moved around the south east of England but we now have all our stock in one large shop in Petworth. We have a large showroom that lends itself to a good display of furniture in a room like setting where we supply recent acquisitions, Chairs,Sofas & Stools, Chests & Linen Presses , Chest of Drawers, Desks, Cabinets & Sideboards, varieties of tables, Mirrors, antique cupboards and Miscellaneous antique items.
