It helps to keep their feet from coming into contact with the cold floor in the winter, and they can also be useful in the summer. Rugs can help protect the floor from the damage of everyday wear and tear. Others choose to have the addition of rugs in their home, even though the floors may be carpeted. The people who choose to do this simply like how rugs brighten up the room, enhance the dcor, and even possibly hide stains and imperfections in the carpet. Some people feel that rugs are more of a hassle than they are worth. They may like how they add to a room's dcor, and even how they can be useful for people to wipe their feet on upon entering a house, and also how they help to make hardwood floors feel warmer. Despite these facts, rugs can really be a nuisance for some people. One problem for some people is the cost of a really nice rug. Rugs can be quite expensive, which can cause some people to quickly go over their budgets. They can easily cost thousands of dollars, depending on the size, style and retailer who they are purchased from. Another reason why rugs can be a big hassle is because they're so difficult to clean. The larger the rug, the more difficult it is to clean. It's not like you can toss a huge room-sized rug into your washing machine. Vacuuming the rug is no big deal, especially for a really large and expensive one. A person wouldn't have a problem with the rug getting caught in the vacuum cleaner unless it was a cheap rug without the proper backing. Besides, vacuuming merely removes dust and lint. In order to give your rug a really good regular cleaning, you would need to either use a steam carpet cleaner or have them professionally dry cleaned. For most people, the steam cleaner would probably be the easier of the two. No one wants to haul around a huge, smelly, stain-covered rug around in their vehicle. Rugs don't have to be a hassle for people, especially if they really like having them in their home. There is always an easier solution for getting something done, like cleaning a rug, especially with today's technology.
