Article submission directories allow two types of links: "no-follow" and "follow" links. The difference between the two types of links is that: * "no-follow" links instruct the search engine spiders not to forward the link to the nominated website; and * "follow" links instruct the spiders to continue and spider the nominated webpage (site) in the link itself. Type of links will take the visitors to the nominated website in the link so the website will generate traffic. However, if you are submitting the article to achieve better search engine rankings "no-follow" links will not achieve that result. Therefore, to improve your SE rankings just submit your articles to article submission directories that allow "follow". Now, how do I know which directors allow "follow"? Very easy you will need to go to the publisher guidelines" section of it explains what kind of links allowed. For your own reference that the different type of links look like this: * "no-follow"- a href="http://www.example.com/" rel="nofollow">anchor link textanchor link text
