Article Writing †How Can You Avoid Being Ripped Off

By: Prince Home | Business | Marketing

One of the sadder facts in Internet Marketing and Article Writing is that there are unscrupulous people out there just waiting to BORROW your content. So called Big names in marketing too. Take the article I wrote ONLY last week. Today, I find the exact same copy of that article on some sort of auto blog with my links stripped away. Effectively my content has been stolen. Look I'm not going to give a link to the article but you can work it out from here (close the gaps): You are effectively leveraging off the strength of the article directory in Google. You see, Google loves Ezine Articles. So, I have written a couple of articles, one about a funny 50th birthday poem and another about my new tell a friend application. You will note that both the hyperlink and the article title contain my target keywords.
As you can see, I have linked directly to the articles themselves. This will give both articles a lot of link loving, especially when my RSS feed gets picked up with those links embedded. I will also bookmark this post to further enhance the mix. Another good trick, mentioned previously, is to submit the RSS feed of your articles.

Further investigation reveals that this site was inspired, "the best selling co-author of the E-code" and Ewen Chia, "a highly-respected and established veteran Internet marketer".
Blimey! If this is one of the strategies they are recommending then I wouldn't go near them with a barge pole. The site is actually run by this fellow here in Finland. Why not e-mail and ask him why he stole my article?
Actually, in fairness, within a day I got this reply back:
> Hi Allen,
>> I'm very sorry your links was stripped off. I never do that deliberately.
> I'm using software which adds content on my blogs and it sometimes leave
> off the resource box without my knowledge of it. I have several blogs and
> that's why I don't have time always watch out what the software is doing.
> Which I obviously should do more often.
>
> I have now fixed your resource box and all the links pointing back to your
> site are correctly placed as they should. But if you still want I can
> remove your article from my site but if you don't insist it I'd like to
> keep it there because it is a good article and very well written.
> Preneurwealth /blog/internet-marketing-and-snake-oil-do-you-know-the-difference>
> I'm very sorry for all the displeasure it gave for you and I wish you
> accept my apologies.
>
> All the best
As far as I am concerned that is the matter closed but it just shows you the importance of keeping track of who is publishing your articles, with, or more importantly, without your links.
