Get ready for another classic from the stable of Ashutosh Gowariker. After producing masterpieces Lagaan and Jodha Akbar, the producer-director from Maharashtra is revoking history books once again with â€Khelein Hum Jee Jaan Sey’. The movie has a colorful star-cast with a mix of Anglo-Indian actors. Abhishek Bachchan will be paired opposite Deepika Padukone and the party of English actors includes Monty Munford, Francis Mathew, Paul Gatward, John Tassi, John Pollard and Robert Drury. The film is directed by Ashutosh Gowariker and produced jointly by Ajay Bijli, Sanjeev K. Bijli and Sunita A. Gowariker. December 3, 2010 is the scheduled release date for the movie. Sohail Sen, who has previously worked on Ashutosh’s â€What’s Your Raashee?’ has scored the music for the movie, while the legendary Javed Akhtar has written the lyrics for the movie. The movie is an adaptation of the novel â€DO and DIE: The Chittagong Uprising 1930-34’ by Manini Chatterjee. â€KHJJS’, as it is popularly known, has been shot majorly in Goa along with some scenes in Mumbai. Ashutosh describes the film as an â€inspirational timeless movie’ that should be watched by the youth of India. â€This film is very much in line with our philosophy to touch, move and inspire audiences through the language of films,†he said. Also when Ashutosh read the novel, he had made up his mind that only Abhishek can portray the role of â€Surjya Sen’ and it didn’t take much convincing to land Abhishek as his main lead.
