As numerous individuals have a difficulty keeping with a diet low in fat, they began searching for other ways to lose fat and they managed to find a brilliant one in a diet invented by Dr.Atkins.

As of late a considerable amount of individuals have began to use Dr.Atkins diet, and the final results that majority of them achieved have resulted in a large publicity.

Nuts and bolts of Atkins diet

The diet of Dr.Atkins is build on a suggestion of cause behind why we gain excess fat. In theory by Dr. Atkins, ingesting high amount of simple sugars and carbohydrates results is gaining weight. The manner in which our body system deal with the simple carbs that are a part of our average diet is more important then the calories consumed.

Lots of times in his book Dr.Atkins points out to occurrence which he calls the insulin resistance. The theory is that people with weight problem have a trouble with their cells and that these cells cease to work as properly as they should.

When we consume too much sugars and carbohydrates, our bodies observe that amounts of sugar are very high. Insulin is produced by the pancreas gland as a system to accumulate sugar in a nature of glycogen. That sugar is then being accumulated in our muscles and liver for spare energy later on in cases when we need it.

The trouble is that our bodies have the limit in the amount of glycogen that can be stored at once. The minute that we reach this threshold our bodies commence gather it as fat, for later use.

However insulin resistant people have a even demanding time using and storing carbohydrates. As our body gets exposed to large amounts of insulin, it bit by bit becomes immune to it. Your body cells are in fact shielding them selves from being poisoned by a high insulin levels in this way. For that reason, they create more fat and less quantities of glycogen.

Consequently insulin resistant man and woman begin to gain superfluous weight. The cause for this is that the carbohydrates are processed in fat instead of energy. Most common side effects are fatigue, lack of focus, sleepiness, bad memory, high blood sugar, low blood sugar.

In fact insulin resistance has the ability to cause you a lot more health problems then simply having too much weight.

The best cure for insulin resistant people is a low carbohydrate diet. That is the central aspect of Atkins diet, restricted carbohydrates intake. Some of the foods that are restricted are: all sweets including sodas and some carbohydrates that are usually the mainstay of food pyramid like grains, rice and bread.

Every so often even healthy carbohydrates like rice or whole-wheat bread can be completely left out.

What Dr.Atkins diet do is that it places a restriction to your daily carbohydrate intake to no more then 40 grams per day. The consequence that this has on your body is that it places it in a state of ketosis.

What is ketosis? Essentially it is a condition when your body consumes fat as fuel. An added major ketosis result is that it has a big influence on an insulin production, which inhibits added storing of fat.

Together this will compel your body to begin burning fat as a very efficient fuel source and that will result in a weight loss.

Due to ketosis, you will also experience much less carb cravings. This has happened to all of us, you begin munching chocolate and there is no way for you to stop. The more carbohydrates you eat the more you need them.

Lots of people who have tried Dr.Atkins diet have described a great deal lower want for consumption of carbohydrates then previous to the diet. And yet you have to know that the initial stage of Atkins diet is rather restricted, and actually grueling for many individuals to adhere to. That is the reason why some of them give up or do not reach good results. You have to look at it from the correct perspective, Dr.Atkins diet will show you how to reinstate the balance to your diet for years to come.

If you make an effort and look at Atkins diet this way you are going to succeed and will undergo a substantial drop of body fat. In due course as you evolve you are going to yet again start to reintroduce carbohydrates to your daily diet, the difference is you will now have the knowledge not to use them too much.

The founding values that the Atkins diet is based on have ever since been used on several new low carb diets, but the diet by Dr.Atkins was pioneer and it is still one of the most used diets today.
