We are one of the largest direct sellers of prescription glasses. With no limitations or expensive eye testing equipment to pay for, we pass on our savings to you so there is now a chance for you to afford as many pairs as you like. To get a prescription go to your local opticians and get an eye test done. At the end of it, the optician must legally provide you with a copy of your prescription. Take your prescription; come to us, and save money. We recommend you one more thing and that is to ask the optician to include your pupillary distance measurement in your prescription. A PD Measurement or Pupil Distance can be taken at any optical store or from your doctor, and many optical stores will provide this service free of charge. For a pair of glasses to perform as well as they can for you, the lenses need to be made to match the distance between your eyes, so that the centre of each lens aligns with the centre of your pupils. To achieve this, we need your pupillary distance measurement, also called PD measurement. Standard optical plastic lenses are used in most of our glasses. We also offer thin, ultra thin and ultra ultra thin lenses. Thin will reduce the thickness by around 14%; ultra thin by 33%; and ultra ultra thin by as much as 39%. We use thin lenses in our rimless glasses to give them extra strength. Plastic lenses are softer than the traditional glass lenses but considerably lighter and safer. For added resilience, we offer a scratch-resistant coating. We have a variety of colour tints. Our prescription sunglasses come with a dark tint (like any average pair of sunglasses, as standard. Kindly double-check your prescription and information before submitting your order. Once you've placed your order you’re given the option of printing it off - we recommend you do this for future reference. As a general guide we would normally expect you to receive your glasses within 10 to 14 days from placing your order, and it can be much quicker than that. The length of time is mostly dependant on the complexity of your order, single vision prescriptions (i.e., not bifocals or varifocals) which aren’t too strong (i.e., up to +/- 3 sphere value) are some of the quickest for us to make and take the least time. Stronger prescriptions and bifocals/varifocals take slightly longer because our opticians often need to get in touch with customers to quickly go over their prescriptions.
