Big Brother On Cbs On Dish Network Heres Whats Happening In The Bb House

By: Frank R. Bilotta Home | Communications | Satellite

Thank god for my DISH DVR. I have it set on Season Pass so it automatically records every episode of my favorite summer guilty pleasure â€Big Brother.†Also comes in handy when I want to rewind and watch some deliciously juicy confrontation again, or in the case of Michele, watch her take a victory face plant in the mud over and over and laugh.

So not surprisingly, as of last night Casey is gone. Sweet little Jordan was saved again and Jessie succeeded in his plan to evict Casey, who he viewed as â€coming after him.†Whether Casey would have gone after Jessie if he had stayed in the house we’ll never know, but the fact is, Jordan is still just as much of a threat to Jessie and his alliance as Casey would have been. She hates Jessie and his â€side†and will want him gone next.

Last night’s episode left off with an endurance Head of Household challenge in which houseguests were suspended from a merry-go-round type contraption and spun in circles until they decided to give up (I know who won from the live feeds but I won’t spoil it for anyone). Also, during the live show, Julie Chen introduced some very interesting, potentially game-changing aspects to the game. First off, the houseguests are no longer playing in â€cliques†anymore, meaning that if someone wins HOH, they no longer have to protect members of their group.

Everyone is now playing the game for themselves. The next announcement Julie made is something I believe can have a HUGE impact on this game. It’s called the Coup D’Etat, and here’s how it works - America will vote for the houseguest they want to receive the Coup D'Etat, and then that houseguest will be informed they have this, however, they will not be allowed to share that information with anyone else in the house. The selected houseguest will have this power for two weeks, and can use it only once.

It will give them the ability to overthrow the Head-of-Household and replace one or both of the nominations right before one of the two live show votes that will take place between now and August 13. Sounds juicy, huh? And I can tell you right now with no doubt in my mind that America is going to vote for Jeff to get this. Why? Well, because he’s my favorite for sure, and I know he’s in America’s good graces too. He has been nothing but a gentleman on this show, and he’s easily one of the smartest players in the game.

CBS and other websites have run various polls asking America who they want to see win the coup d’etat, and the results have been almost unanimously for Jeff. So I think he has this. I just hope he gets a chance to use it and really throw a kink into Jessie’s master plan. Best case scenario: Jeff is able to use it in a way that sends Jessie home. Think how bitter Jessie would be if that happened? He got sent home last year because of America (Dan, who was America’s Player, was told to nominate who America voted for, and they voted for Jessie. That was the week Jessie went home).

â€Big Brother†gets stale when one side of the house always has the upper hand, and so far this season Jessie’s side has been dominating the game and one-by-one we’ve seen the â€good guys†exit the house. Every season there’s always the inevitable moment when the villains get their comeuppance, and I have a feeling Jessie and his band of sheep are in for a fall very soon. Some other quick notes: I’m finding myself actually liking Russell. Despite his random hissy fits/rages, I think he’s a smart player and knows what he’s doing. He also seems to be not so bad of a guy.

However, while Russell gains brownie points with me, my hatred of Ronnie gets stronger with every episode. I know people lie in this game, but people who lie and are so smug and arrogant about it deserve a nice swift kick in the face. Ronnie’s obnoxious Diary Room confessions about how he’s running the game will sound so much sweeter after he’s inevitably eliminated. Ronnie doesn’t realize that even if he does make it to the Final Two (which I highly doubt he will), no one will vote for him because everybody but Jessie (and maybe Natalie) hates his nerdy guts.

It’s only a matter of time before he goes down in flames. Also, Lydia has been edited as a complete stalker, the way she crept into Jessie’s bedroom and watched him sleep all the while talking about all the bad things she could do to him in his sleep if he made her angry. Kevin was only slightly less invisible in this episode but only by a margin. He had one conversation and then disappeared again. Chima and Michele are also laying low, and I think that’s smart of them to do. So we’ll find out next week who wins the Coup D’Etat (Jeff!) and then we’ll see on Thursday August 6 if he uses it or waits until the following week! â€Big Brother†airs three nights a week on Sunday, Tuesday, and Thursday. Check your local listings for CBS on DISH.
