Bird control is the generic name for methods to eliminate or deter pest birds from landing, roosting and nesting. The Birds are becoming a considerable problem in our society. Bird droppings can also cause serious liability risk. The acidic nature of pigeon droppings wears down structures such as bridges and buildings. There are some cities that have huge bird problem, that they employ people for cleaning the mess that is made birds or pigeons. Some birds such as pigeons are not native to the United States but they continue to become a hazard to buildings, structures and even health. Pest birds and their feces can spread transmittable diseases. Some droppings are not only a health hazard and can carry diseases but also they are also corrosive to structures. Bird repellent techniques are used to prevent pest birds from landing, roosting and nesting.

Bird repellents and adhesive though are one of the most straightforward ways to deter any kind of feathered friend from choosing your building as its home. A bird spike is also a helpful technique to keep birds away from your property and premises. These spikes strips look like danger, but it is safe for birds and people. Pigeon spikes are designed to keep the pigeons away and not to harm them. When the birds notice the pigeon spikes on building ledges or on another place that they usually land on, they simply change their direction and fly away.

A few birds could be a nice sight but they can easily become an nuisance as they accumulate in numbers and start to pester people, they are then included in the pest control list. Pigeon control has been a prevalent issue plaguing city leaders throughout the country. Pigeons do not migrate, but if displace from a nesting area, can return from long distances because of their homing ability. Ultimate pigeon control method is all about - extremely efficient tactics of pigeon removal. Efforts have been made to hinder pigeon reproduction. Birth control is one method of preventing these animals from continuing to overwhelm the population. You can prevent pigeons from encroaching areas such as terrace and courtyard by using 'block-off nesting' and netting techniques. They can cause deadly diseases such as salmonella, meningitis, and E. coli, which by no means exhaust the list of the illnesses carried by pigeons. Elimination of feeding, watering, roosting, and nesting sites is important in long-term pigeon control.
