Bollywood's Golden Era

Bollywood has been a showcase to some exhilarating talent and outstanding skills. The Hindi film industry traces its advent way back in 1950's which is also termed as the golden era of bollywood. The likes of bollywood actresss like Nargis, Madhubala, Nutan and others spelled the audience with their beauty and charms. They actually defined the Indian 'naari' in bollywood. On the other side, actors like Kishore Kumar, Dev Anand, Raj Kapoor and others graced the silver screen with their ever lasting memories. These masters of acting and portraits of every possible human emotion have taken Hindi cinema to its peak and laid a firm foundation for what we now refer as Bollywood.

The period from 1950 to 1960 is termed as the 'golden era' of bollywood. Some epic works of acting, music, poetry and singing during that period define the heroics of an unmatched cinematic experience. The memorable movies like Pyaasa, Kagaz ke Phool, Sangam, Awara, Mera Naam Joker, Daag, Shree 420, Jis Desh Mein Ganga Beheta Hain and other legendary works forced the audience to serach for themselves in the story. Musical melodies of hilarious music directors including OP Nayyar, SD Burman, Shankar Jaikishan etc, in the voice of great singers such as Mohamed Rafi, Talat Mehmood, Mukesh, Geeta DUtt, Lata Mangeshkar, Manna Dey, Hemant Kumar and Kishore Kumar rejoice our souls with immense peace even today.

The exuberant work of these show mans and womens have been a true ambassador of Indian cinema across the world. Their unmatched skills and exceptional talent can truly be referred as celebration of Indian cinema. Their contributions are a lively example of dedication and hard work. for the successive generations.
