Branding With Your Truck Graphics

Many businesses are already using fleet graphics and trailer graphics to advertise for their businesses in a fun and dynamic way, and they are reaping the benefits.  Fortunately, truck graphics can be effective for any type of business, whether you’re selling products, selling services, fundraising for a non-profit, performing free online services, etc.  There are many creative, as well as obvious ways to increase visibility of your fleet graphics, and to target the audience your trailers are visible to.  Many businesses have to be creative with the location or route of their trailer graphics because their business is stationary at an office location.  If your business doesn’t have an office location or even a warehouse of any kind and your business is solely performed out of your vehicle, then the opportunities for you have just opened up!
Landscaping companies, plumbers, carpenters and electricians are all great examples of businesses whose ‘office’ is their truck.  Similarly, businesses like Pampered Chef and Lia Sophia Jewelry who typically work from home but travel to homes and other locations to perform their business functions don’t have an office for clients to visit.  Limousines, Taxis and commercial busses may also lack an office location.  Lacking an office could seem detrimental to some business owners, since community members take notice of buildings and offices they drive by on a regular basis, especially if they have a large sign or logo in the front, which creates brand recognition.
Brand recognition is just as attainable with a mobile ‘truck office’ business, however.  Possibly even more likely, if done properly!  Truck graphics on their own can be eye catching enough to create brand recognition, especially if you have many vehicles and they’re driven around town and seen at work locations on a regular basis.  Think about UPS trucks....everyone recognizes them! 
You can take your brand recognition via fleet graphics a few steps further, however.  If you like the design of your truck graphics, and you feel that the design is one that can be easily recognized and remembered, incorporate it as your logo!  Instead of having a separate logo incorporated into your truck graphics, which passersby may not notice individually, use an image of your entire vehicle or fleet as your logo on business cards, pamphlets, websites, etc.  Doing so will create recognition between seeing your fleet graphics on the road or in a neighbor’s driveway and seeing your same trusty truck on your website.
In the same respect, when you set up a booth at trade shows, blow up an image of your truck or fleet graphics.  People are more likely to say “hey, I’ve seen those trucks around” than “oh, that’s the logo for the plumbing company the Albertsons used.” 
People notice fleet graphics and they remember them, it’s human nature to take note of something bright, shocking and different, so use that to your advantage and remind them why they recognize that truck.
