Breast Cancer Causes, Symptoms And Its Treatments

By: Make Health Easy Home | Cancer | Breast-Cancer

Cancer can be caused by genetics, lifestyle choices and exposure to certain environmental hazards. Causes of breast cancer can be identified in certain cases but mostly it affects women according to their age, heredity, hormones and excess alcohol consumption. These factors can cause direct or indirect exposure to a substance or agent that can cause cancer. Radiation from environment is the key factor causing infections and immunity break down which are likely to cause breast cancer in persons. Family history has long been identified as a risk factor for breast cancer.

Breast cancer may occur in breast pain, redness, discharge from nipple, skin irritation and lump under the arm. Breast that is warm to touch is the symptoms of inflammatory breast cancer, a dangerous and rare type of the disease, flat or inverted nipple, breast that is often itchy, breast that is red or blotchy, skin around the breast is dimpled and swollen are all symptoms of breast cancer. Normally women are affected with this type of cancer but most even men have been known to have the same effects. All these symptoms can cause cancer but they can be a result of other risk factors for cancer. For example smoking, heavy alcohol consumption and genetics are all factors that can make one more prone to the disease.

Some well known breast cancer treatments include radiation, chemotherapy, hormone therapy, and surgery. Radiation therapy is carried out after surgery when patient’s skin needs recovery through non invasive methods. During this therapy high level of radiation is applied directly to the effected cancer cells. Radiation therapy is similar to x-ray although there can be a side effects due to the high levels of radiation sent directly to cells. Chemotherapy mainly uses chemicals to treat the disease. Chemotherapy is administrated through blood and is very effective as its acts on rapidly dividing cancers cells. Unfortunately, chemical doesn’t differentiate between healthy cells and sick cells, so the doses need to be taken is exact and there are no side effects of nausea, mouth and skin ulcers. Performing surgery has direct access to the diseased organ and it causes far damage to the surrounding area.

Person should opt for natural treatments if surgery and radiation treatment are not on their preference list due to personal reasons. Natural breast cancer treatment is a good option as it does not destroy healthy cells along with the affected cancer cells. Natural treatments like supplements and vitamins are also effective. Herbal remedies are also helpful in curing breast cancer as well. One of the first steps to prevent breast cancer is to perform monthly examination of themselves because people who undergo breast examinations are more likely to discover abnormalities compared to those who merely visit health care practitioners.
