Breast Cancer Types †Advanced Symptoms Of The Disease

By: Shane Fallas Home | Cancer | Breast-Cancer

Early detection is the best way to cure breast cancer. It is very difficult to cure breast cancer once it reaches the last stage. Breast cancer starts spreading to the other tissues in its advanced stages. Once the tissues are affected it is very difficult to isolate the cancer to cure it.
By spreading to the tissues of the body, the various organs are affected by the cancer. The organs that are affected include the lungs, liver, brain and bone marrow. If the cancer has been identified only at the last stage, the body loses all ability to fight the cancer by itself. The survival rate of cancer patients who have reached the final stage of cancer is very less. The more the cancer progresses the less likely that the patient can be saved.
The survival of women with breast cancer during the last and final stages does not exceed more than 18 months. According the cancer society in America, women who are able to live for 5 years or more after they have been diagnosed with breast cancer during the last stage can live for an additional 3 years as well.
Poverty and lack of health insurance is the main reason for fatal breast cancers amongst Caucasian and black women. And for black women who are diagnosed with breast cancer, treatment is almost always not a comfortable option for them to take on financially.
Women who are found to have breast cancer should always seek a second and a third opinion before they confirm their sickness. There are new researches being done and new treatments for cancer, being found out every single day. By taking multiple opinions women get to see the various options for the treatment of breast cancer before they lock down on the one that is most comfortable for their pocket and for their financial situation. It is always a good thing when patients try and find out as many options as possible about the treatment methods for breast cancer before they proceed.
There are numerous health care providers who provide breast cancer patients with all the support and encouragement that they need. These health care providers more than anything help in providing success in the treatment for breast cancer, especially when it the last stage of the disease when the death rate is very high.
It is always a good habit for women who are between the ages of 25 and 40 to continually check themselves for any cancerous lumps or any of the other symptoms for cancer. This would help in the early detection and for breast cancer treatment to be started at the earliest. To learn how to administer a self examination on oneself, remember that you can walk into any doctor’s clinic and they would be more than glad to help you with information on it or get someone to help you with the actual procedure on how it’s done.
