Bryant was suspended last year when the Lakers were coincidentally in New York. Kobe’s triple score in the first minute of the third time allowed him to reach the record at his early age. Only Wilt Chamberlain (24, 134) and Michael Jordan (29, 326) reached the record before becoming 30. In basketball history a total of 31 players have managed to overcome the 20,000 points. "Always I have liked to play here", said Bryant. "I did not have that opportunity last year, and that got me mad. It's my favorite field to play and I was happy to have done it today". The Lakers will receive the Phoenix by Christmas.
