Business Website Design Needs

By: Abbacus Technologies Home | Internet-and-Business | Web-Design

A business website design needs following things:

1. Domain name: A domain name is like yourcompany.com on which you can have your website. When someone types your domain name, your website appears. So think of a good domain name. Many names might be registered so come up with a few unique names.

2. Website Hosting: This is where your business website design is placed so your domain name points at it and display live website to the customers - like the website pictures and the content to display. A web host stores all files on their server and lets you edit, add or delete them. Selecting a reliable web hosting is important as changing this service is quite painful.

Apart from these two requirement, you have to look at your target market and the competition. If you live in San Francisco, and want to start a florist business then type in "florist San Francisco USA" in Google or Yahoo and see the results. Are they "relevant"? Find out if they are all florist websites, or are half of the first page result are topics that mention the word "florist"? If it's the latter, then you have a chance at getting visitors effortlessly. In case of the first option it means there is already a competition and you will have to work hard.

Do not sell website design services if there are 100 competitors in your local area †and don't quit if there are 10 florists. Competition means there's market that needs that service.

The next thing you'll need is an attractive business website design. There are many tools that will help you get started . When a visitor sees a badly designed website they at once leave. One easy way to half bypass the issue of creating an ugly website is to use Word press blogging platform which is popular.

Now what is next? First. check some web hosts. Then, go to Google, MSN or Yahoo and begin some basic research. If you are trying to add some potential to your off line business you can skip the research. If another service costing more but offers you everything you require -then pay for it. In the long run you will be benefited with saved time or profits.
