Byte Bandit Virus Infection And Hard Drive Recovery

Boot sector viruses cause hard drive damage like no other thing can. Since the boot sector executable code runs at startup before the operating system could load, this is one among the frequently exploited target by virus programmers. Many of these viruses replace or update the boot sector code with their own codes, while other viruses move the boot sector from the original disk location to another location. Being a resident virus, it keeps a check on each of the disks you insert in the computer and copies itself to the boot disk on finding it. Viruses are generally considered to be deadly as not only can they spread from system to system, but are destructive too.

Symptoms

A Windows computer infected from Byte Bandit virus may not be able to boot or may start hanging at each reboot. The screen and/or keyboard may start malfunctioning.

Resolution

Byte Bandit virus can cause serious data loss by infecting your hard drive. To prevent hard drive from getting infected from Byte Bandit virus, you should install an anti-virus software that might detect its signature. However, the best solution to get rid of virus infection is to reformat the entire hard drive.
