Can you still make money on eBay in these troubled times? The short answer is yes you can The more detailed answer is Yes you can still make money on eBay, as long as you have done your research and made a plan of action.. Look at this way, if you had to drive your car from London to Sunderland would you just jump in the car and head north? Of course not, you would get a map out research the route and make a plan of the direction to go in. Wouldnt you? I certainly hope so or you may end up at John O Groats. Well eBay is pretty much the same, without a plan of action you are not going to be successful. Sure you may sell a few items but what money would you be able to make if you just go at it willy nilly? Without a plan of action what are your long term chances of being a successful seller on eBay? Not a lot! eBay have all the tools you need to become successful, if you know where to find them and how to use them then success is not far away. For example: eBay pulse; will tell you the largest shops, the most searched for and the most watched items on eBay. At the time of writing Mobile phones are the most searched for item. You can check each category and see what items in each are being searched for. Want it Now; is a section of eBay where people that can not find what they are looking for post details of the items in the hope that sellers will be able to locate and supply them. There are literally thousands of items there, just waiting for someone to supply them. Is your mind going cher ching yet? Can you see the potential for success? There is more: Do you list items without looking into how well that type of item sells? And when your item fails to sell do you just re-list it over and over? If you do then by the time you actually sell it you may find that your profit has been whittled away by your listing fees. Did you know that you can check whether your items are selling or not, and if they are, for what price? It"s all there on ebay, IF you know where to look and what to look for. Why not give it a try, Click on the Advanced search link (next to the main search button), enter a couple of keywords relating to your item, scroll down the page and check the box for completed listings, then click search. You will then see a list of similar items and be able to see whether they sold or not and if so for what price. So you see it is possible to make money on eBay in these troubled times, what you need to do is make a plan for your success.
