Cancun real estate area has been a magnet for tourist from all the over for many years. Ever year, millions of tourists descend upon Cancun to enjoy its fabulous white beaches and adjoining beauty. Cancun boasts of amenities and infrastructure of world class standards. And recent developments have made this beautiful city an international travel hub and an important business center in the region. These factors have fuelled the real estate demand in Cancun Real Estate area. Recently, the Governor of Quintana Roo (the state to which Cancun belongs), Felix Gonzalez along with the mayor of Cozumel, Juan Carlos Gonzalez and mayor of Playa del Carmen, Roman Quian, attended the World Travel Market 2009 in London, one of the Europe top most and important tourism fairs. The Governor extolled the merits of Cancun as the prominent tourist attraction of the region. He stressed that Cancun is not only a key tourist destination in the Mexican Caribbean but also Latin America. This also firms up the Cancun 's claim as an international property investment destination. Gonzalez, told the audience about the continued infrastructure development in the region such the newly opened second runway of the Cancun International Airport. This has made the airport the most modern and cost efficient airport in the whole Caribbean and Latin America region. Second runway also enables the airport to serve larger air traffic. This expansion will go a long way in the transforming Cancun in to an international business hub between the North and South Americas. Besides new real estate development opportunities, this upgradation will also mean increased convenience in traveling for tourists and residents alike. Also, highlighted was the beach recovery project, which entails widening of the beaches in Cancun. This will enable tourists and residents of the Cancun beachfront condos to enjoy more of the world famous white sand beaches. This project has made the beachfront properties even more coveted and has resulted in spurt in demand and prices of the real estate near the beach. This International tourism fair attracted thousands of industry participants, trade professionals, exhibiting companies and ministers. The vent was covered by international press. The Cancun Visitors Board held about 20 meetings with different wholesale operators, airlines and media, where representatives highlighted the virtues of Cancun as premier destination for tourists with reference to the to the new promotion project being developed called "Cancun and the treasures of the Mexican Caribbean". Cancun sees large number of European visitors and this market is very essential for Cancun. With this successful show, the government of Cancun must be hoping increased traffic arrivals this year.
