The cardiovascular diseases are those diseases which are caused by disorders of heart and blood vessels. Coronary heart disease, cerebrovascular disease, hypertension, artery disease, rheumatic heart disease, congenital heart disease and failure of heart came under the category of cardiovascular diseases.

Cardiovascular training does not have any age restrictions. People of any age can do cardio exercises. However, the exercise regime should be structured to fit individual requirements without excess strain on the body. If you are above the age of 35, it is best to take advice from your physician before starting on an exercise regime.

Cardiovascular technician programs are designed to train technicians who will work in hospitals, clinics, laboratories and doctors offices. The word cardiovascular means relating to both the heart and the blood vessels - this profession deals with testing of human hearts and blood vessels, and in treatment of cardiac and vascular diseases.
