Causes And Symptoms Of Chest Pain

You have heard that chest pain can be serious. It can signal a heart attack. It might be a rare, life-threatening problem. But it could be quite the opposite. It could be not at all serious. Chest pains are often, but not always heart related. The nerves flowing from the spinal column can echo pain, making us think one part of the body hurts when the problem is actually in another part. Once we are convinced that chest pains relate to the heart, it can be difficult to find the true source of the problem. Angina causes left chest pain and is a result of deficient blood supply to the heart due to narrowing of the lumen of an artery supplying blood to the heart and results in pain in the chest which may radiate to the left shoulder and arm, or the neck, or it may radiate to the back.

Thorax pain is one of the most common reasons people seek emergency help at a hospital. The majority of these people seeking emergency help are concerned that they may be having a hear attack. While mild, to extreme pain, is one of the common symptoms of a heart attack. Acid Reflux or GERD (Gastroesophageal Reflux Disease) mainly affects a person's esophagus. Esophagus to aptly describe it is that passage where the food passes on from the mouth to the stomach, under normal digestion processes. chest pain that is not related to heart disease is most commonly caused by acid reflux syndrome or GERD, which is gastro-esophageal reflux. The terms are used interchangeably. In order to determine if a person is experiencing acid reflux chest pain, doctors may use tests to measure acid levels in the esophagus, this is the tube that carries food from the mouth to the stomach.

Symptoms of chest wall pain include cough, difficulty in breathing, chest swelling, and chest bruising and chest tenderness. The treatments for chest wall pain are muscle relaxants, cold compresses, rest and anti pain nonsteroidal inflammatory medications. The chest pain stemming from an anxiety attack falls into the latter category. If you know the differences in the symptoms of the two, it is highly likely you can determine on your own if you are having a heart attack or chest pains associated with anxiety attack. Almost everyone suffers from some sort of physiological chest pain at one time or another, and the important thing to note is that there are many causes of this condition.

As chest pain whether or not a sharp pain is often feared as a heat attack. However, there still remain many other possible causes for chest pains. When some causes are serious and life threatening there are mildly inconvenient causes as well. Pay close attention to your chest pain and back pain symptoms. Make notes on the details of your condition, if you can. This may help with diagnosing your condition for the most effective treatment, especially if this is your first experience with these symptoms. Anxiety chest pain can be a very frightening event. How can you know if you are suffering an anxiety attack, or a true heart attack? Right away, there are key differences you should be aware of.
