Chapter one consists of five parts. So, we shall begin today by summarizing parts one through five. Chapter one part one is entitled Discovering Your Life's Purpose. That title right there should be enough to get you to go over to the Web site and get registered to receive the entire chapter(s). This is the first paragraph of part one, Discovering Your Life's Purpose: When we came into this world we had nothing; no clothes on our back, no idea what we were getting into and no clue where our life was headed. As we began life we had to learn how to talk, how to walk, and then we began our formal education; however, nowhere are we taught how to "get" where we are supposed to be going. Many people just go through life never knowing where they are going. They work a 40 hour per week job, go home to their loved ones, eat, watch TV, and then they go to bed. Finally a point comes when they sit back and ask themselves, "What's going on here? Where is my life headed?" What is my purpose on Earth? First paragraph of Part Two entitled Becoming Someone Different Do you want to spend the next 20, 30, or 40 years working for someone else or are you ready to make a change? If you are ready to make a change you must realize that you are put here for your mission and to do what you were created to do. You were put here on this Earth for a mission specifically assigned to you and only you. God has a unique plan for you and this world! First Paragraph of Part Three entitled Looking Into The Future Where do you believe you should be in the next 10, 20, 30 years? Where do you see yourself? Sit down with a pad of paper and begin writing. Where do you want to be? Where would you like to be? Dream big and make your dreams HUGE! First paragraph of Part Four entitled Looking In The Correct Direction Focus on the day at hand. Don't worry about the past. It is gone and never coming back. The only reason you should ever look back is to remember your mistakes, the lessons learned, and how not to make the same mistake again. Be willing to correct and continue. When something goes wrong, pause for a moment, analyze the situation, remain calm, correct the problem to the best of your ability, and continue on with life. We must have promises, dreams, and a vision, but don't spend all your time dwelling on the future which isn't here yet. First paragraph of Part Five entitled Traveling To Different Countries: Have you ever visited a third world country? What an eye-opening experience that can be! My first trip to a third world country was in 1998 after graduating from high school. It was initially my dad's idea, and my brother and I decided to go along. We went with our church to Honduras in Central America. The airport was small, the streets were filled with people, and the town was incredibly dirty. In Honduras, you are either poor or rich, there is no middle class. We got on the bus headed to our lodging. On the way, everyone involved in this mission trip saw a man lying in the middle of the street. He appeared to have been stabbed. There was a man on a motorcycle right next to him just sitting on his bike staring at him! No one could believe their eyes. No one was helping the injured man and no ambulances could be heard in the distance. Welcome to Honduras! I was suddenly scared to death.
