Star Plus recently announced the second season for their reality musical show, "Chhote Ustaad". The show is a hunt for singing talent amongst children in the age group of 8-14. It is a musical reality TV Show for those children who will entertain and enthrall the country with their musical aptitude. The mega auditions took place in Mumbai in the month of June. Singers Sonu Niigaam and Rahat Fateh Ali Khan will judge the show. The musical maestros will also mentor the participants. They have replaced music director Pritam, singers Kunal Ganjawala and Shreya Ghoshal as judges. The show will have a new third judge from the music industry every week. The inaugural season of the show was held in 2007 and was won by Aishwarya Majumdar. Chhote Ustaad Do Deshon Ki Ek Awaaz, is a unique singing show for young children as it will bring together talent from India and Pakistan. Children in the age group of 8-14 from India and Pakistan will participate in this show. The contest will have twenty participants, ten from India and ten from Pakistan. The singing contest would be between ten teams, each team comprising of two singers, one singer from India and one from Pakistan. With tension looming large between the two nations, it will be indeed very heartening to see the young participants share a common platform, joke and enjoy! Every week one singer is going to win the coveted title of Chhote Ustaad. The show will go on air on 24th July, 2010 and will go on for twelve weeks.
